QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Can you use this in solvent based paints ?

Yes, you sure can. This can be mixed with any medium.

  • I love your pearls and hypershifts, do you have any kind of exposure ratings for sunlight?

No, not yet but this can withstand sun exposure for a long time and that still depends on the clear medium that you'll mix it with.

  • where can i buy this black to blue in the uk please

Hello, thanks for your interest in our products.  Unfortunately, we do not have a store/distributor in the UK but we do ship internationally via DHL for fast and secure shipping. Should you want to order, you may place your order in our website at www.kppigments.com

  • Kbb can it be color sanded and buffed

With an extra layer of clear on top, yes you can.

  • If this is done over a white or gray base, will the blue be a little brighter but the shift has less effect? I’m thinking about doing my motorcycle in this!

Hello, this is done over a black base. This is a very dark blue that shifts to black HyperShift. We haven't tried it over a white or gray base, potentially you'll get a lighter blue effect but we still suggest doing a test sample first if unsure. Please note that different base color, yields a different result.

  • I was thinking of trying this hypershift in 5g ZBB with 12g Black Betty per gallon.. has anyone used this combo yet?

No one has tried that yet but that potentially might work. Just do a test sample first before doing a full scale.

  • If I use pigment in automotive clear is the effect still there if I use clear with no pigment over it

Yes, sealing with a top coat works too for extra protection. Of course, we suggest testing it on small scale first.

  • I love the ZBB product look. Is there any chance you will produce a ZBG or green to black (preferably black to green) product in the near future?

We are thrilled to hear that you love our new product! While we do not have an answer to your question at the moment, we encourage you to stay tuned. We are continuously working on improving our products and introducing new ones to meet our customers' needs. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to providing you with more information soon.

  • Hey, greetings from germany 🫡 I just saw the Video from DYC with the PBB pigment. And i'm super flashed and want to try it. I'll use it with a standart automotive clear and just want to know, if the ratio is 5-10 grams per gallon is for a ready to spray 2k Coat? So the clear with hardener inkluded? And you use the US gallon? So 1 gallon is 3.785 liters? Thanks

For the ZBB HyperShift, 5-10 grams should be more than enough for a gallon of clear (regardless of the brand. Peelable or Permanent). Yes, we measure it with US Gallon.
